About founder Kerstin Karu

Kerstin’s coaching approach is formed by her over decade-long international experience of mentoring and coaching privately, and through organizations like Draper University and Techstars, paired with her training and certification with iPEC, one of the world’s leading ICF-accredited coaching programs.

Among notable past achievements, she has been awarded the Forbes 30 Under 30 award for her work as a startup founder and CEO, and she has presented as a TEDx speaker.

Kerstin has lived in six countries, started three companies, and found her place under the sun in San Francisco. She has experienced and overcome the death of loved ones, career crises, discrimination, health challenges, and a traumatic birth. She has gotten married, become a parent, and found her calling in her career.

What’s the story of Rahu?

At Rahu (Estonian for ‘peace’, ‘sense of ease’), we are on a mission to transform corporate America by coaching its people to embody purpose, emotional intelligence, and work-life balance. We believe that by shaping mindful and resilient leaders of tomorrow we are helping to create a more sustainable business world that recognizes the value of its people.

Born in the vibrant city of San Francisco, we serve as the third hand to organizations, big and small, to empower leadership development, remedy attrition, and enable sustainable work-life fulfillment for all of their people.

Our services give leaders and individual contributors the skills and tools to step into new versions of themselves, strengthen connections, become catalysts for culture shifts within their workplaces, and increase the joy and positivity in every aspect of their lives.

We distill our services into leadership development programs, workshops, individual coaching, and retreats. Our offerings are available online, in-person, and in nature.
